Arizona Cleaver Stemons
(1898-1980) was born in 1898 in Pike County, Missouri. She was educated
in the public schools in Hannibal and did her graduate and postgraduate
work at Howard University and the Pennsylvania School of Social
Work. Her professional experience include social work, casework,
and probation officer. Arizona held membership in Beta Delta Zeta
Chapter in Philadelphia. She was awarded life membership in Zeta
Phi Beta and named grand basileus emeritus at the 25th anniversary
celebration in St. Louis in 1945.

Myrtle Tyler Faithful (1901-1994)
was born November 7, 1901, on her family’s farm near Flushing,
Ohio. She was educated in the public schools of Ohio and graduated
from Howard University. She taught high school-math in Annapolis,
Maryland, then moved to Springfield, Ohio to care for her parents.
She was awarded a life membership in 1945 in St. Louis and held
membership in Alpha Zeta Chapter in Baltimore.Mrytle is the younger
sister of Viola Tyler Goings and was recognized as the second grand
basileus of Zeta.

Pearl Anna Neal (18__-1978) was
born in Charlotte, North Carolina. She graduated from Howard University
Conservatory of Music, did graduate work in music at Julliard School
of Music in New York, studied at the Chicago Music Institute, and
earned a master’s degree in music from Columbia University.
She taught music in public school and the Teachers College in Winston
Salem. She was awarded a life membership at the 1945 Boule.

Viola Tyler Goings (1899-1983)
was born August 29, 1899, on the family farm near Flushing, Ohio.
She was educated in the Ohio public schools and graduated from Howard
University with a major in math. She taught school in Ohio and was
active in community affairs. She was awarded a life membership with
the other founders in 1945.

Fannie Pettie Watts (1899-1995)
was born on December 20, 1899, in Perry, Georgia. She was educated
in the Savannah, Georgia, public schools and attended Georgia State
College. Later she graduated from Howard University with a bachelor
of arts degree in education and taught in the junior and senior
high schools of Savannah. She also worked as a social worker in
Brooklyn, New York. She was awarded life membership in 1945, held
membership in Delta Alpha Chapter in Brooklyn. She is credited with
organizing the chapter as well as Omicron Beta Chapter in Brooklyn.
